Islamabad (HRNW)-\u00a0Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to discuss the regional situation and ongoing efforts to promote peace and stability.<\/p>\n
During the conversation, held in a warm and friendly atmosphere, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the recent attacks by the Houthis on Saudi Arabia, particularly those targeting the Kingdom\u2019s civilian and economic infrastructure.<\/p>\n
Expressing complete solidarity with the Saudi leadership and people, the Prime Minister said the attacks posed a threat to regional peace and security and could further disrupt the global economy and energy supplies.<\/p>\n
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif affirmed that he, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar would continue efforts to de-escalate tensions and promote peace in the region.<\/p>\n
The Prime Minister also praised Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for his leadership during the ongoing crisis and conveyed his best wishes and heartfelt respect for Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.<\/p>\n
The Saudi Crown Prince appreciated Pakistan\u2019s continued and steadfast support for Saudi Arabia and its efforts to promote peace and stability in the region.<\/p>\n
Both leaders agreed to remain in close contact and expressed their desire to meet in the near future.<\/p>\n
