New Delhi (HRNW)-\u00a0Air India pilot Captain Sunny Asladekar was found dead in his room at a five-star hotel in New Delhi, where he was staying for Boeing 787 conversion training.<\/p>\n
According to Indian media reports, Captain Asladekar had checked into The Grand hotel in the Vasant Kunj area on September 10. He was reportedly in the capital to undergo training required to operate the Boeing 787 aircraft.<\/p>\n
The incident came to light after the pilot\u2019s brother attempted to contact him several times on September 11 but received no response. He subsequently contacted hotel management and requested a welfare check.<\/p>\n
According to police, the hotel manager went to the room and found the door locked from inside. The manager used a master key to enter the room, where Captain Asladekar was found unconscious and unresponsive.<\/p>\n
Police and a crime team inspected the room and examined the scene for potential evidence. A post-mortem examination was conducted at Safdarjung Hospital on September 12.<\/p>\n
Authorities said the exact cause of death has not yet been established and will be determined after the final medical and post-mortem reports. Police have initiated proceedings under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death.<\/p>\n
Captain Asladekar was employed by Air India and was undergoing conversion training for the Boeing 787. Some reports have indicated that he was previously associated with Air India Express.<\/p>\n
Police are continuing to examine the circumstances of his death, including his hotel stay and available evidence. Officials have cautioned that it would be premature to determine whether the death resulted from a medical condition, an accident or another cause until the investigation and medical examination are complete.<\/p>\n
