UMERKOT\/KUNRI (HRNW)-<\/strong> Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (JUI) Sindh secretary general Allama Rashid Mahmood Soomro has criticised the provincial government over what he described as inadequate public services in education, healthcare, employment and law and order.<\/p>\n

Addressing public gatherings and party meetings in Kunri, Pithoro and Umerkot, Mr Soomro said people in Sindh, particularly those living in relatively underdeveloped areas, continued to face serious difficulties in accessing basic facilities.<\/p>\n

He said the condition of government hospitals in Umerkot, Tharparkar and other parts of the province remained poor, leaving patients struggling to obtain proper medical treatment despite substantial allocations in the provincial budget.<\/p>\n

Mr Soomro also expressed concern over the number of children deprived of education and said the shortage of schools and colleges in several areas, coupled with limited employment opportunities, was creating difficulties for young people.<\/p>\n

He said the spread of narcotics had emerged as another major challenge and called for effective action against drug dealers to protect the younger generation.<\/p>\n

The JUI leader also raised concerns over tribal disputes, robbery and crime, saying the deteriorating law-and-order situation had made life difficult for ordinary citizens. He called for practical measures rather than announcements to improve public security.<\/p>\n

Mr Soomro said the land, natural resources and islands of Sindh belonged to its people and maintained that decisions concerning the province\u2019s resources should be made in accordance with the interests of its people.<\/p>\n

He called for an effective campaign against narcotics and criminal elements and urged the authorities to take action without political considerations.<\/p>\n

Mr Soomro said the JUI would continue to raise issues concerning education, healthcare, employment, public safety and the rights of the people of Sindh.<\/p>\n

He urged the people to remain united and raise their voice against injustice, corruption, lawlessness and the spread of narcotics.<\/p>\n

The gatherings were attended by a large number of JUI workers and local residents.<\/p>\n
