Islamabad (HRNW)-\u00a0The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has approved a series of measures aimed at further improving Pakistan\u2019s performance in the Business Entry category and strengthening the country\u2019s business environment.<\/p>\n
According to SECP, Pakistan currently ranks 17th among 101 economies in the Business Entry category, with a score of 86.64. The measures include enhanced information sharing between SECP, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and the Board of Investment, as well as improved access to information on environmental requirements and permits through the SECP website.<\/p>\n
Information on government support programs for SMEs and women entrepreneurs has also been made available. SECP has released gender-based statistics covering shareholders, directors, chief executives and beneficial owners, and plans to further develop gender-disaggregated data on company directors and beneficial owners.<\/p>\n
SECP said the measures will enhance transparency, access to information and digital connectivity among institutions, while helping further improve Pakistan\u2019s business-ready performance and international ranking.<\/p>\n
