Karachi (HRNW)- Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has set July 2028 as the target for completing the 600-bed modern hospital under construction in Larkana, directing authorities to ensure timely completion and maintain construction quality.<\/p>\n
The directives were issued during a review meeting of the hospital project attended by Chief Secretary Asif Haider Shah, Chairman P&D Najam Shah, Secretary Health Tahir Sangi, representatives of the Project Management Unit, contractors, consultants and other senior officials.<\/p>\n
The chief minister said providing modern and quality healthcare facilities to the people is a priority of the Sindh government. He said the Larkana hospital would serve as a major medical center for the region and provide advanced treatment facilities to millions of people.<\/p>\n
Officials briefed the meeting that 94 percent of the hospital\u2019s piling work has been completed, with construction continuing around the clock. The facility will include an emergency department, ICU, modern operation theatres, diagnostic services, modern IT systems and digital medical records.<\/p>\n
More than Rs18.6 billion has reportedly been spent on the project so far. The chief minister directed concerned departments to immediately remove administrative and other obstacles, while ordering advance planning for medical staff and equipment so the hospital is fully operational upon completion.<\/p>\n
Syed Murad Ali Shah further directed that the hospital be constructed according to international standards and equipped with modern medical technology, reiterating the Sindh government\u2019s commitment to strengthening the province\u2019s public healthcare system.<\/p>\n
