Karachi (HRNW)<\/strong> \u2014 The Sindh High Court has suspended the action taken by the Sindh government and the Food Department against former Food Inspector Zaheer Hussain<\/strong>, who challenged his dismissal in connection with a wheat theft case.<\/p>\n

The court issued notices to the concerned parties and sought their responses by September 17<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The petitioner\u2019s counsel, Malik Altaf Javed<\/strong>, argued that the government dismissed his client without issuing a show-cause notice or providing an opportunity for a hearing.<\/p>\n

According to the counsel, the government also ordered the recovery of more than Rs2 billion<\/strong> from the petitioner and directed that the matter be referred to the Anti-Corruption authorities.<\/p>\n

The counsel requested the court to declare the action against the petitioner unlawful and restrain the authorities from proceeding against him.<\/p>\n

The court sought responses from the relevant parties and adjourned the hearing until September 17<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
