Karachi (HRNW):<\/strong> The Sindh Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah<\/strong>, has approved a two-year extension of tax and registration incentives<\/strong> aimed at promoting electric vehicles across the province.<\/p>\n

According to the cabinet decision, the incentives for electric vehicles will remain in effect until May 29, 2028<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The cabinet also decided to impose a one-time lifetime Motor Vehicle Tax of Rs500 on electric motorcycles<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said promoting electric vehicles would help reduce carbon emissions, curb urban air pollution and decrease dependence on imported fuel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Sindh government said the initiative is aimed at encouraging environmentally friendly and affordable modes of transportation while addressing air pollution in urban areas.<\/p>\n
