Islamabad (HRNW):<\/strong> The government has rejected foreign media reports concerning PTI founder Imran Khan<\/strong>, stating that access to a prisoner in jail cannot be used as a means of political activity or unrestricted political communication from inside the prison.<\/p>\n

Government officials said jail rules and regulations apply equally to all prisoners, and meetings or communication with any inmate must take place in accordance with the prescribed legal procedures.<\/p>\n

Officials maintained that meetings with Imran Khan cannot be used for political activities, political coordination or issuing political directions directly from prison<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The government\u2019s position is that prison authorities take decisions regarding meetings and communications with inmates in accordance with applicable laws and security requirements.<\/p>\n
