Karachi (HRNW):<\/strong> The Sindh High Court, while hearing a dispute over the ownership of the Delhi Government School<\/strong>, has ordered that possession of the government school be vacated and handed over to the Old Boys Association<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The court accepted the application seeking recovery of possession of the school.<\/p>\n

The petitioner\u2019s counsel, Barrister Asad Ahmed<\/strong>, told the court that a decree in favor of the association had been issued in 2000<\/strong>, but despite the judicial decree, the decision had not been implemented for nearly 25 years<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The government lawyer requested additional time to transfer the students enrolled at the school to other educational institutions and to implement the court\u2019s order.<\/p>\n

Counsel for the Old Boys Association opposed the request for further time, stating that the school had allegedly been reoccupied in 2007<\/strong> as well.<\/p>\n

Barrister Asad Ahmed informed the court that the Sindh High Court had also ordered in 2009<\/strong> that the students be transferred to another school within 15 days.<\/p>\n

The association\u2019s counsel told the court that it was regrettable that the court\u2019s decision had not been implemented despite the passage of so many years.<\/p>\n

After hearing the arguments, the Sindh High Court approved the application for recovery of possession and ordered that the school be vacated and handed over to the Old Boys Association<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
