Karachi (HRNW) \u2014 August 24, 2026:<\/strong> Renowned lawyer Ali Ahmed Kurd<\/strong> has expressed concern over the worsening economic conditions in Pakistan, saying that more than 110 million people are currently struggling to afford food<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Speaking about conditions in Karachi, Kurd said he had seen children walking barefoot in the city<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

He questioned the situation of Karachi’s residents despite the city being one of the country’s major economic and revenue-generating centers.<\/p>\n

Commenting on the political environment, Kurd said that sometimes a single statement can damage the standing of a parliamentarian<\/strong>. He referred to the phrase “product of Form 47”<\/strong>, saying that being described in such terms can undermine the political credibility of a parliamentarian.<\/p>\n

Kurd also expressed concern over the declining standing of members of the Pakistan Bar Council<\/strong>, saying they no longer enjoy the level of respect and dignity that they once commanded.<\/p>\n
