Participants from 133 countries<\/strong> reportedly took part in the prestigious competition, where Hafiz Nuruddin Zakaria\u2019s performance earned him a cash prize of 100,000 Saudi riyals<\/strong>, according to reports.<\/p>\n

Bangladeshi media reports further state that Bangladesh Prime Minister Tarique Rahman<\/strong> announced a reward of 20 million Bangladeshi taka<\/strong> for the young Quran reciter in recognition of his achievement and for bringing honour to Bangladesh.<\/p>\n

Reports also say that the government has announced plans to confer the country\u2019s highest civilian honour<\/strong> on him and offer him a government position involving Quran recitation on Bangladesh\u2019s state television.<\/p>\n

According to media reports, Hafiz Nuruddin Zakaria\u2019s father earns a living by selling milk on a bicycle<\/strong> to support his family.<\/p>\n
