KARACHI (HRNW)<\/strong> \u2014 Shah Latif Town Police have arrested a man accused of allegedly deceiving a woman through a fake marriage arrangement, sexually assaulting her and subsequently threatening her.<\/p>\n

According to police, the suspect was traced through technical investigation after an extensive search and was arrested near the residence of a relative in Abdullah Goth, Street 9.<\/p>\n

According to the woman\u2019s statement, the suspect allegedly promised to marry her in September 2025 and conducted a marriage ceremony through a mobile phone. She alleged that on March 5, 2026<\/strong>, the suspect came to her home while she was alone and allegedly sexually assaulted her.<\/p>\n

The woman further stated that she later discovered that the suspect was already married and had a wife and children. She also alleged that he continued to threaten her, after which she approached the police and reported the matter.<\/p>\n

Legal Action and Investigation<\/h3>\n

Police said an FIR No. 1616\/26<\/strong> has been registered against the suspect under Sections 493-A and 506 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC)<\/strong>, and further investigation is underway.<\/p>\n
