SAHIWAL (HRNW)<\/strong> \u2014 Acting on the directions of the Director FIA Faisalabad Zone and under the supervision of the Deputy Director FIA Composite Circle Sahiwal, the FIA has continued operations against elements allegedly involved in bank fraud, skimming and online scams.<\/p>\n

In a recent operation, the FIA Composite Circle Sahiwal arrested a suspect allegedly involved in bank fraud.<\/p>\n

According to sources, an FIA team conducted an operation near the GT Road Lari Adda in Sahiwal and arrested Muhammad Sabir son of Ghulam Rasool<\/strong>. Authorities said an iPhone 17 Pro Max<\/strong> was recovered from his possession, allegedly containing skimming-related data, fake call records, bank receipts linked to fraud and records of various digital currency transactions.<\/p>\n

FIR Registered, Further Investigation Underway<\/h3>\n

According to the FIA, FIR No. 01\/2026<\/strong> has been registered against the suspect under relevant provisions of Sections 4, 5, 8 and 23 of the amended FERA 1947, along with Sections 419, 420 and 109 of the Pakistan Penal Code.<\/p>\n

During the initial investigation, the FIA said the suspect allegedly disclosed that he worked with other associates to target Pakistani citizens through fraudulent phone calls and various methods of deception.<\/p>\n

Further investigation is underway to identify the suspect’s alleged associates and determine the structure and role of the wider network.<\/p>\n

Digital Evidence Recovered<\/h3>\n

According to FIA officials, digital evidence recovered during the operation has been made part of the investigation. Authorities are examining the material in an effort to establish further links to the alleged fraud network.<\/p>\n

The FIA said the efforts and supervision of SHO FIA Sahiwal Circle Chaudhry Khalid Saeed and FIA officials Muhammad Arsalan and Imran Haral were significant in the operation.<\/p>\n
