Karachi (HRNW):<\/strong> Dockyard Police have arrested the husband of a woman who was killed in a shooting at a house in Sultanabad and allegedly recovered the weapon used in the incident.<\/p>\n

According to police, Zarmeen<\/strong>, a woman resident of Sultanabad, was killed in a shooting inside her home on August 14, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Police said the victim\u2019s husband initially claimed that the shooting was accidental and occurred while he was cleaning the firearm.<\/p>\n

However, during preliminary investigations, police reportedly found evidence indicating the husband\u2019s alleged involvement in the killing. The victim\u2019s husband, Shaukat Ali<\/strong>, was subsequently arrested.<\/p>\n

Police said a 30-bore pistol<\/strong> was recovered from the suspect, which is being treated as the alleged murder weapon.<\/p>\n

A case, FIR No. 363\/26<\/strong>, has been registered against the suspect under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Police further stated that the recovered weapon was also found to be unlicensed, resulting in the registration of another case, FIR No. 364\/26<\/strong>, under Section 23(1)(A) of the Sindh Arms Act<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The arrested suspect has been handed over to the Investigation Unit for further questioning and investigation.<\/p>\n
