Islamabad (HRNW)<\/strong> \u2014 The Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association<\/strong> has given the government a 72-hour ultimatum<\/strong> to accept its demands, warning that dealers may be unable to continue operating petrol pumps if their demands are not addressed.<\/p>\n

Association Chairman Malik Khuda Bakhsh<\/strong> said that petroleum dealers are demanding an increase in their petrol sales margin to 8 percent<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

He said the decision was taken following a meeting of petroleum dealers from across the country, which was attended by representatives from different regions.<\/p>\n

The association has also called for a change in the mechanism for determining petroleum product prices<\/strong>, arguing that the current system needs to be revised to address the business concerns of dealers.<\/p>\n

Malik Khuda Bakhsh warned that if the government fails to accept the dealers\u2019 demands within 72 hours, the association will announce its next course of action, including the possibility of suspending business operations at petrol pumps.<\/p>\n
