Hyderabad (HRNW)-<\/strong> Chairman of the Hyderabad SITE Association of Trade and Industry Mr. Zubair Ahmed Ghangra, Senior Vice Chairman Mr. Aamir Shahab and Vice Chairman Mr. Essar Kumar have appealed to shopkeepers, traders and business owners to register themselves with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) under the new tax policy 2026 and make their business dealings part of a legal and proper record system.
\nThey said that in today\u2019s business environment, it is important for traders to keep their tax and business matters clear and properly recorded. The digital reforms being introduced by the FBR are aimed at improving the tax system, keeping proper records and helping strengthen the country\u2019s economy. Therefore, the business community should avoid relying on old methods or wrong advice and should complete their business and tax matters according to the law.
\nChairman Zubair Ahmed Ghangra said that business owners should, as far as possible, purchase goods from registered companies and registered persons. This will help them maintain proper records of their purchases and sales and bring more transparency to their business dealings.
\nHe said that under the new policy, businesses with an annual turnover of up to Rs.200 million can become part of the tax network through the prescribed procedure. This is also a registration facility for traders with lower turnover against the prescribed amount.
\nChairman Zubair Ahmed Ghangra said that joining the tax network will help traders maintain better business records deal with registered organizations and benefit from various legal and business facilities.
\nHe further said that registration can be obtained by paying a one-time amount of Rs. 25,000. The main benefits of the scheme include:
\nThe trader gets protection from routine income tax audits which can provide peace of mind to business owners.
\nShopkeepers registered under this scheme will not be required to install a digital invoicing system.
\nA shopkeeper registered under the scheme will be given a green plate which must be displayed at a visible place in the shop. If the green plate is clearly displayed FBR officers will not be allowed to enter the shop for tax-related matters. This provides a form of legal protection to the shopkeeper.
\nThey said that running a legal and properly documented business not only builds trust for traders but also plays an important role in strengthening the country\u2019s economy.<\/p>\n
