Karachi (HRNW):<\/strong> The Sindh High Court has adjourned the hearing of a petition seeking the return of examination answer sheets and related records of the Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC)<\/strong> until the final decision of the Federal Constitutional Court.<\/p>\n

During the hearing, the SPSC counsel requested that the examination record currently kept with the Nazir of the Sindh High Court<\/strong> be returned, arguing that the retention of examination material was affecting the commission\u2019s routine affairs.<\/p>\n

The SPSC lawyer informed the court that all previous orders of the Sindh High Court regarding the commission had been suspended by the Federal Constitutional Court, and therefore there was no further justification for keeping the examination records with the court.<\/p>\n

Justice Saleem Jassar<\/strong> questioned the request and remarked, \u201cThose who were your favourites have passed. The records of those who failed are lying with the Nazir; what concern do you have with their records?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Justice Jassar further remarked, \u201cWhat difficulty do you have with the papers remaining here? We are not tampering with the record.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The SPSC counsel argued that the Sindh High Court had sought examination papers of more than 30 candidates, but there was now no reason to keep the records in court custody.<\/p>\n

The lawyer stated that the Sindh High Court had earlier suspended the examination results of the Sindh Public Service Commission and had directed the Vice Chancellor of Sukkur IBA<\/strong> to re-evaluate the answer sheets of the petitioners within one month.<\/p>\n

Advocate Kanwar Raj Ali Wahid<\/strong>, representing the petitioners, informed the court that all examination material was placed with the Nazir of the Sindh High Court under judicial orders.<\/p>\n

During the proceedings, it was informed that the Federal Constitutional Court had suspended the interim orders issued by the Sindh High Court. The SPSC counsel requested that all examination material be returned to the commission, stating that its official work was being affected due to the records remaining with the court.<\/p>\n

The court adjourned the matter until the final decision of the Federal Constitutional Court.<\/p>\n
