New Delhi (HRNW)<\/a>:<\/strong> According to global financial magazine Bloomberg<\/em>, the Indian rupee has become one of Asia\u2019s weakest and worst-performing currencies in 2025. The report attributes the decline to poor economic management and weakening investor confidence.<\/p>\n

While currencies of Taiwan, Malaysia, and Thailand have strengthened, the Indian rupee continues to slide. Bloomberg stated that rising U.S. tariffs, the withdrawal of foreign investors, and India\u2019s proposed hike in visa program fees to USD 100,000<\/strong> have significantly damaged investor sentiment.<\/p>\n

Foreign investors have withdrawn more than USD 16 Billion<\/strong> from the Indian stock market this year alone, the report revealed. Despite spending over USD 30 Billion<\/strong> in foreign reserves since July, the Reserve Bank of India has failed to stabilize the rupee.<\/p>\n

The report further noted that India\u2019s widening current account deficit has made imports increasingly expensive, adding pressure on the rupee.
