Islamabad (HRNW)-\u00a0Federal Minister for Communications and IPP President Abdul Aleem Khan has endorsed Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi\u2019s remarks on administrative reforms, saying the proposals are timely and essential to meet Pakistan\u2019s growing governance needs.<\/p>\n
In a statement posted on the social media platform X, Abdul Aleem Khan said that, in view of Pakistan\u2019s increasing population and administrative requirements, each existing province should be divided into three administrative units.<\/p>\n
He proposed dividing every province into North, Central and South administrative units, saying that such a model would eliminate the need to change the names of the provinces while preserving the historical and cultural identity of every region.<\/p>\n
The IPP President said the creation of new provinces would help provide a lasting solution to public problems, noting that many citizens currently have to travel hundreds of kilometers to provincial capitals for routine administrative matters.<\/p>\n
He argued that if new provinces were established and government services were brought closer to the people, citizens would benefit from faster and more efficient governance. He added that concerns would only arise if certain individuals feared a reduction in their political influence.<\/p>\n
Abdul Aleem Khan further stated that Pakistan is a democratic country with no room for a monarchy, adding that the establishment of new provinces would reduce the burden on citizens by improving access to administrative institutions. He said that separate Chief Secretaries, Inspectors General of Police and High Courts for the new provinces would ensure more effective and prompt public services.<\/p>\n
He also said that discussions about creating new provinces have remained political slogans for decades and stressed that the time has come for all political parties to build consensus and turn the proposal into reality.<\/p>\n
According to Abdul Aleem Khan, the creation of new provinces would strengthen national unity rather than divide the country, while also promoting balanced regional development and contributing to long-term economic stability.<\/p>\n
