Lahore (HRNW)-\u00a0The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced plans to hold a rally and protest at Minar-e-Pakistan on August 5, while also preparing an alternative strategy if permission is not granted by the district administration.<\/p>\n
According to party sources, PTI is maintaining continuous communication with the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Lahore regarding its application seeking permission to hold the public gathering.<\/p>\n
Sources said that if the administration grants approval, the rally will be held at Minar-e-Pakistan as planned. However, if permission is denied, the PTI Lahore leadership and party workers will gather at an alternative location in the city to stage a protest, where senior party leaders will also address participants.<\/p>\n
According to PTI sources, Azadi Chowk, Bhati Chowk, Liberty Chowk and GPO Chowk are among the locations being considered for the alternative protest.<\/p>\n
The party is expected to organize the protest at one of these sites, where a large number of workers will assemble and the leadership will deliver speeches.<\/p>\n
Sources further said that PTI Members of the Provincial Assembly (MPAs) and party ticket holders will arrive at the protest venue in rallies from their respective constituencies.<\/p>\n
According to party officials, the final decision will depend on the district administration\u2019s response to the request for permission. If approval is granted, the rally will take place at Minar-e-Pakistan; otherwise, the party will hold its protest at an alternative location in Lahore.<\/p>\n
