New York, United States (HRNW):<\/strong> The International Rescue Committee (IRC) has renewed its appeal for increased international humanitarian assistance, warning that growing conflicts and displacement are placing unprecedented pressure on vulnerable populations. In its latest humanitarian updates, the IRC identified Sudan, Ukraine, Gaza, and other conflict-affected regions<\/strong> among the world’s most urgent humanitarian priorities.<\/p>\n

The organization recently warned that humanitarian conditions in North Kordofan, Sudan<\/strong>, could deteriorate further if violence continues to escalate, while also highlighting the need for greater protection of civilians and expanded humanitarian access. The IRC continues providing healthcare, nutrition, protection services, education, and emergency relief to millions of people affected by conflict and displacement.<\/p>\n

Marking the 75th anniversary of the 1951 Refugee Convention<\/strong>, the IRC also called on governments to strengthen international refugee protection and uphold commitments to people forced to flee persecution and armed conflict. The organization emphasized that global solidarity remains essential to addressing one of the largest displacement crises in modern history.<\/p>\n
