Karachi (HRNW)<\/strong> \u2013 Inspector General of Sindh Police Javed Alam Odho<\/strong> chaired an important review meeting at the Central Police Office Karachi<\/strong> regarding progress in the Priya Kumari missing case<\/strong> and other complaints related to missing persons.<\/p>\n

The meeting was attended in person by Additional IG Karachi, DIG Headquarters, DIG Special Branch, and Additional Inspectors General<\/strong>, while zonal and divisional DIGs along with concerned SSPs participated through video link.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, the AIG Gender-Based Violence and Human Rights<\/strong> briefed participants in detail about the Priya Kumari missing case and other missing persons cases, including the progress made in investigations.<\/p>\n

According to the briefing, during the recent days, three children who had been reported missing due to love marriages and personal disputes between married couples were safely recovered<\/strong> and presented before the relevant courts.<\/p>\n

Regarding the Priya Kumari missing case<\/strong>, officials informed the meeting that after the formation of a new Joint Investigation Team (JIT)<\/strong>, a fresh investigation process has formally been initiated. The SSP Sukkur<\/strong> provided an update on the latest developments in the case.<\/p>\n

IG Sindh Javed Alam Odho<\/strong> directed the concerned DIGs and SSPs to regularly review investigations related to the recovery of Priya Kumari and other missing children and to hold regular meetings to submit progress reports.<\/p>\n

He instructed that strict departmental action should be taken against responsible officials in cases where no progress is made after registration of a missing person case or where negligence and carelessness are found.<\/p>\n

The IG Sindh stated that reducing serious crimes, along with cases involving missing children and human rights violations<\/strong>, remains among the top priorities of Sindh Police.<\/p>\n

He appreciated the performance of the Special Investigation Unit (SIU)<\/strong> in the recovery of children and handling of other important cases.<\/p>\n

IG Sindh further directed that all cases related to missing children and abuse should be reviewed again, and a comprehensive report based on the latest progress should be submitted at the earliest.<\/p>\n
