According to police, members of the banned organization attempted to march toward Rawalakot and allegedly opened fire after being stopped by law enforcement personnel, injuring two police officers.<\/p>\n
According to the latest reports, the banned Joint Public Action Committee allegedly attacked a security checkpoint on the outskirts of Rawalakot, resulting in the martyrdom of Rangers soldier Ali Raza.<\/p>\n
Authorities said that three police officers were injured during the violence, while protesters allegedly set fire to one Rangers vehicle and one police vehicle.<\/p>\n
Rawalakot police stated that law enforcement agencies exercised maximum restraint and acted with professionalism despite what they described as severe provocation.<\/p>\n
According to the police statement, the banned Joint Public Action Committee allegedly resorted to violence, arson, and attacks on law enforcement personnel, government officials, and public property in an attempt to disrupt the successful election process.<\/p>\n
