The reported cases include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>644 cases of women being murdered.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>514 cases of physical violence against women.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>462 cases of kidnapping of women.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>363 cases of women\u2019s suicides.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>280 cases of sexual violence and abuse.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>132 cases of honour killings.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The report further stated that <strong>18 cases of violence against transgender persons<\/strong> were also reported during the same period.<\/p>\n<p>The age-wise analysis presented by Sahil showed that violence affected young women and girls significantly. According to the report, <strong>334 reported cases involved women aged between 21 and 30 years<\/strong>, while <strong>306 cases involved girls aged between 11 and 20 years<\/strong> who became victims of violence.<\/p>\n<p>A particularly alarming aspect of the report is that <strong>54 percent of gender-based violence cases occurred inside the victims\u2019 own homes<\/strong>, indicating that many women continue to face threats in places that are expected to provide safety and protection.<\/p>\n<p>Human rights activists have emphasized that preventing violence against women requires stronger implementation of laws, effective accountability mechanisms, protection services for survivors, and increased public awareness.<\/p>\n<p>The protection of women\u2019s rights is not only a social responsibility but also a fundamental human rights obligation.
