Muzaffarabad (HRNW)-\u00a0Adviser to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah Khan has strongly reacted to claims that presiding officers and a patwari were allegedly found with polling bags at the residence of PPP candidate Chaudhry Yasin in the LA-10 Kotli constituency of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, demanding an immediate investigation and suspension of the election.<\/p>\n
Rana Sanaullah called on Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Faisal Rathore and the Chief Election Commissioner to immediately investigate the matter and inform the public how the polling bags reached the candidate\u2019s residence. He demanded that polling in LA-10 Kotli be suspended until the inquiry is completed.<\/p>\n
He said the first priority should be to determine where the polling bags were taken and what was done with them. He also called for a thorough investigation of Patwaris Qaiser and Saqlain to determine whether similar alleged irregularities occurred elsewhere.<\/p>\n
Rana Sanaullah stated that since Chaudhry Yasin is not only the constituency\u2019s candidate but also the President of PPP Azad Kashmir, the incident has raised serious concerns about the transparency of the electoral process.<\/p>\n
He further claimed that three presiding officers were allegedly transported in an official vehicle alongside Chaudhry Yasin\u2019s close aide, Saqlain, describing the situation as deeply concerning.<\/p>\n
He added that if such an alleged incident occurred in an urban area, events in remote areas should also be thoroughly investigated. Rana Sanaullah said that until the facts are established, the Pakistan Muslim League (N) will not accept the election results from the constituency.<\/p>\n
He reiterated that the PML-N believes in free, fair, and transparent elections, directing party leaders, coordinators, and workers to ensure the checking of polling bags at every polling station on election day. He also expressed confidence that, with public support, the PML-N would secure victory in Azad Kashmir.<\/p>\n
