Karachi (HRNW)-\u00a0Member of the National Assembly and senior Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Shazia Atta Marri has said that the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir are demanding the right to property and the right to self-governance, adding that the upcoming elections are a test for the people rather than political parties.<\/p>\n
Speaking to the media during the Health Council ceremony organized by the Maheshwari community at NJV School in Karachi, Shazia Atta Marri said that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is leading the party\u2019s election campaign in Kashmir with a fresh vision that reflects the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.<\/p>\n
She said Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, as Pakistan\u2019s youngest Foreign Minister, effectively presented Pakistan\u2019s position before the international community and successfully highlighted the impact of the 2022 floods, emphasizing that climate change is a global challenge affecting countries like Pakistan.<\/p>\n
Shazia Atta Marri said Pakistan remains among the countries most vulnerable to climate change, while major industrialized nations continue to violate environmental commitments without providing sufficient support to affected countries.<\/p>\n
She further stated that providing hospitals, buses, and airports alone is not enough, adding that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari believes the people of Kashmir should be granted the right to property, employment, and self-governance. She also highlighted Bilawal\u2019s proposal to establish a Reconciliation Commission in Kashmir to ensure justice, accountability, and fairness without promoting disorder or injustice.<\/p>\n
Welcoming youth engagement initiatives, Shazia Atta Marri appreciated the Maheshwari community for providing a platform for young people to showcase their talents. She noted that more than 250 youth from 13 cities across Sindh participated in a youth event modeled on the UN Parliament, stressing that Pakistan\u2019s youth are the country\u2019s greatest asset.<\/p>\n
