Washington (HRNW)-\u00a0US President Donald Trump has dismissed Iran’s announcement that it will not implement the US-Iran memorandum of understanding on nuclear-related commitments, saying he is unconcerned by Tehran’s decision.<\/p>\n
In a brief telephone interview with the American television network NewsNation, President Trump was asked about Iran\u2019s latest announcement, to which he responded, \u201cI don’t care about it at all.\u201d<\/p>\n
Trump reaffirmed that the primary objective of US policy is to ensure that Iran does not acquire nuclear weapons under any circumstances.<\/p>\n
He said Washington remains committed to limiting Iran\u2019s nuclear program and will not change its position on the issue.<\/p>\n
It is worth noting that the United States and Iran reached a memorandum of understanding in mid-June aimed at easing tensions and ending the ongoing conflict between the two countries.<\/p>\n
However, in recent weeks, disputes over the Strait of Hormuz, maritime security, and regional developments have led to renewed tensions, affecting the implementation of the agreement.<\/p>\n
