Tehran (HRNW)-\u00a0Iran\u2019s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei has accused the United States of repeatedly violating the memorandum of understanding signed with Iran, warning that Tehran will deliver a response the US “will never forget.”<\/p>\n
According to the Iranian state broadcaster IRIB, Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei said that the participation of millions of people in the funeral prayers of his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, reflected the unity and solidarity of the Iranian nation.<\/p>\n
He said that while Iran was observing mourning and burial ceremonies, the United States continued to violate the memorandum of understanding reached with Tehran. He warned that Iran would teach the United States an unforgettable lesson.<\/p>\n
The Iranian Supreme Leader further stated that recent developments have once again demonstrated to the world that the signature of a US president is “worthless, unreliable and untrustworthy.” He accused the United States of pursuing policies based on domination, hegemony and aggression.<\/p>\n
Mojtaba Khamenei said the United States is fueling conflict across the region and attempting to impose additional costs on Iran, but stressed that the Iranian nation and its armed forces are fully capable of delivering a strong response.<\/p>\n
In his remarks, he praised the courage of the people of southern Iran and the “Mujahideen of Islam,” urging the Iranian public to maintain national unity and place confidence in state institutions.<\/p>\n
He emphasized that Iran must not show any signs of weakness to its adversaries and should confront current challenges with unity, determination and perseverance.<\/p>\n
The Supreme Leader also reiterated that Iran would not surrender to pressure, threats or military action and would take all necessary measures to safeguard its national interests, sovereignty and security.<\/p>\n
It is worth noting that the ceasefire agreement previously reached between Iran and the United States collapsed after only a few days, with military exchanges between both sides continuing. The Strait of Hormuz has reportedly been closed again, while the US naval blockade remains in effect.<\/p>\n
