Karachi (HRNW)<\/strong> \u2014 The Sindh Safe Cities Authority has announced plans to install smart cameras at various no\u2011parking locations across Karachi. The cameras will automatically detect vehicles parked in no\u2011parking zones and feed the data directly to the traffic police\u2019s TRACS system, enabling automatic, cashless e\u2011challans.<\/p>\n

Director General Sindh Safe Cities Authority Sarfraz Nawaz said the initiative expands the citywide surveillance network established under the Karachi Safe City project. The network already includes more than 1,300 AI\u2011based cameras capable of automated identification of people, vehicles and other activities. These cameras have been integrated with the TRACS system to allow the traffic police to detect traffic violations and issue e\u2011challans without an officer being physically present.<\/p>\n

Sarfraz Nawaz added that the new Smart No\u2011Parking Cameras will further strengthen the TRACS system\u2019s real\u2011time enforcement capabilities. Vehicle owners found violating no\u2011parking rules will receive e\u2011challans through TRACS. He urged citizens to follow traffic rules and park only in designated areas to avoid fines and help make Karachi a smarter, more disciplined city.<\/p>\n

The Sindh Safe Cities Authority says the move will assist traffic police in enforcing rules more effectively and transparently through modern technology.<\/p>\n
