Washington (HRNW)-\u00a0The United States military has confirmed carrying out another major military operation against Iran, stating that dozens of Iranian military targets were successfully struck during an operation conducted on the night of July 14.<\/p>\n
The operation took place as the United States also reimposed restrictions targeting maritime traffic associated with Iranian ports, further escalating tensions in the region.<\/p>\n
According to the U.S. military, the operation lasted for approximately seven hours, concluding at 10:00 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time. Fighter aircraft, drones, and naval warships reportedly used precision-guided weapons during the mission.<\/p>\n
The statement said the strikes focused on Iranian military installations and coastal areas near the Strait of Hormuz, targeting missile and drone facilities, naval assets, coastal defense systems, and other military sites.<\/p>\n
U.S. officials stated that the objective of the operation was to further reduce Iran’s ability to threaten commercial shipping and civilian vessels operating in the Strait of Hormuz.<\/p>\n
The United States also announced the reimposition of maritime restrictions on vessels entering or leaving Iranian ports and coastal areas earlier the same day, contributing to heightened regional tensions.<\/p>\n
The U.S. military said all its forces remain on full operational readiness and are prepared to carry out any further directives issued by the U.S. President.<\/p>\n
According to analysts, the continuing military confrontation and increased activity around the Strait of Hormuz have intensified concerns over global maritime trade, oil supplies, and regional stability, while the international community continues to urge both sides to pursue a diplomatic solution.<\/p>\n
