According to a report by the British newspaper Financial Times<\/strong>, Emirati company DP World<\/strong>, which manages Dubai\u2019s major port operations, is planning the development of a new multipurpose port on the eastern coast of the UAE in the emirate of Fujairah<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The report states that the objective of the project is to reduce dependence on Jebel Ali Port in Dubai<\/strong> and create an alternative option for maritime trade that avoids potential disruptions through the Strait of Hormuz.<\/p>\n

Analysts say the initiative aligns with the UAE\u2019s broader strategy to protect its economy and trade infrastructure from the risks associated with regional tensions, particularly amid ongoing concerns involving Iran and Gulf security.<\/p>\n
