In a security alert, the U.S. mission advised applicants with appointments during the affected period not to visit the embassy or consulate. It said that all affected applicants would be contacted directly by U.S. officials and provided with new appointment dates.<\/p>\n
The embassy cited regional security developments as the reason for the temporary suspension but did not disclose details of any specific threat or security incident. The move comes amid heightened military tensions and increased security concerns across the Gulf region.<\/p>\n
U.S. authorities have also advised American citizens in the UAE to follow the embassy\u2019s latest security guidance, closely monitor local news updates, and avoid non-essential travel until the security situation stabilizes.<\/p>\n
Officials have not announced a date for the full resumption of regular consular services.<\/p>\n
