Karachi (HRNW)<\/strong> \u2013 Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Javed Alam Odho<\/strong> has claimed that terrorism-related incidents in Sindh have declined significantly during the current year, reflecting improvements in the province’s security situation.<\/p>\n

According to the IGP, only seven terrorism incidents<\/strong> have been reported in Sindh so far in 2026, compared to 37 incidents<\/strong> during the corresponding period last year, representing a 78 percent reduction<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the province’s security environment, Javed Alam Odho said the recent attack on a Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) camp was intended to spread fear and destabilize peace in Karachi. However, he stated that the swift and coordinated response by law enforcement and security agencies successfully thwarted the attackers’ objectives.<\/p>\n

The IGP emphasized that Sindh Police, Pakistan Rangers, and other security institutions are working in close coordination to maintain law and order across the province. He attributed the decline in terrorism incidents to enhanced intelligence-based operations, improved surveillance, and effective inter-agency cooperation.<\/p>\n

He also urged citizens to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious individuals or activities to the relevant authorities, stressing that public cooperation remains vital in preventing terrorism and safeguarding peace.<\/p>\n
