Islamabad (HRNW): <\/strong>The Senate Standing Committee on Interior<\/strong> has approved a bill proposing the provision of free official (Blue) passports<\/strong> to former members of Parliament, their spouses, and dependent children.<\/p>\n

According to details, during a meeting of the Senate Standing Committee on Interior, the \u201cMembers of Parliament (Salaries and Allowances) Amendment Act 2026\u201d<\/strong> was presented by Senator Abdul Qadir<\/strong>, which was approved by the committee.<\/p>\n

The proposed amendment states that former members of Parliament will be entitled to receive official (Blue) passports free of cost.<\/p>\n

According to the text of the bill, the spouses of former parliamentarians<\/strong> will also be eligible for free Blue passports, while dependent children under the age of 28 years<\/strong> will also qualify for the facility.<\/p>\n
