Karachi (HRNW): <\/strong>Pakistan’s aviation sector is set to welcome a new private carrier as South Air<\/strong> prepares to commence its commercial flight operations on 16 July<\/strong>, marking a significant development for domestic air travel.<\/p>\n

According to available information, the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA)<\/strong> has granted South Air permission to begin commercial operations, and the airline has already started ticket sales for its scheduled services.<\/p>\n

South Air will initially launch operations with two aircraft<\/strong>. According to the airline’s Chief Commercial Officer, Nishat Fatima<\/strong>, the inaugural flight on 16 July<\/strong> will operate from Karachi to Turbat and Bahawalpur<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The airline’s management further stated that eight domestic flights<\/strong> are scheduled to operate on the first day of commercial service, with the initial flight schedule already announced.<\/p>\n

Aviation experts believe the entry of a new private airline will increase competition within Pakistan’s aviation industry, improve passenger choice, enhance connectivity between major cities and underserved regions, and contribute to the country’s economic and tourism sectors.<\/p>\n
