Karachi (HRNW)<\/strong> \u2013 A private cargo aircraft operating from Sharjah to Karachi<\/strong> has reportedly crashed into the Arabian Sea<\/strong> after losing contact with air traffic control, according to preliminary aviation sources.<\/p>\n

Initial reports indicate that the K2 Airways<\/strong> cargo flight, identified as KTA-1732<\/strong>, disappeared from radar approximately 155 nautical miles west of Karachi<\/strong> (around 300 kilometers offshore<\/strong>) while en route to the city.<\/p>\n

According to aviation sources, the crew reported a navigation problem<\/strong> during the flight and requested a heading from Air Traffic Control (ATC)<\/strong>. Controllers reportedly instructed the aircraft to maintain its current course. Shortly afterward, the aircraft allegedly made a sudden right turn and began a rapid descent, losing altitude at an estimated 15,000 feet per minute<\/strong>. Multiple attempts by ATC to contact the crew reportedly went unanswered before the aircraft disappeared from radar.<\/p>\n

The aircraft has been identified as a Boeing 734 cargo aircraft<\/strong>, reportedly registered as AP-BOI<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Search and rescue operations have been initiated to locate the aircraft, while aviation authorities are expected to launch a formal investigation to determine the cause of the incident.<\/p>\n
