Lahore (HRNW):<\/strong> Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s Adviser on Political Affairs, Rana Sanaullah, has said that the alleged kidnapping and sexual assault case involving foreign women in Lahore is being unnecessarily sensationalized and turned into a political controversy.<\/p>\n

Speaking on Geo News<\/strong>‘ program Naya Pakistan<\/em>, Rana Sanaullah stated that certain elements were attempting to create an issue out of what he described as a “non-issue” and were deliberately exaggerating the matter for specific purposes.<\/p>\n

He further claimed that efforts were being made to deliberately link the case to Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, describing such attempts as baseless.<\/p>\n

According to Rana Sanaullah, every individual is responsible for their own actions. He said that the statements of the alleged victims had already been recorded under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code<\/strong>, which he maintained would be sufficient to support prosecution of the accused.<\/p>\n

He added that the investigating authorities possess comprehensive evidence related to the case, the charge sheet has been prepared, and no further evidence is required to proceed with the trial.<\/p>\n

The Prime Minister’s adviser also stated that, if necessary, the foreign women could be invited back to Pakistan to testify before the court.<\/p>\n

Responding to Senator Faisal Vawda’s demand for Ishaq Dar’s resignation, Rana Sanaullah described the demand as completely unfounded.<\/p>\n
