Gaza City (HRNW)-\u00a0Despite the US-brokered ceasefire and the formation of a peace board headed by President Donald Trump, Israel has continued its military operations in Gaza.<\/p>\n
According to the International News Agency, the Gaza Health Ministry said that 16 Palestinians were killed in Israeli attacks over the past 48 hours, while the bodies of nine more victims were recovered from the rubble of destroyed buildings.<\/p>\n
More than 20 Palestinians injured in the latest strikes were taken to hospitals in critical condition. Health officials said at least four of the wounded remain in extremely critical condition, raising fears that the death toll could increase.<\/p>\n
The Health Ministry added that rescue teams are continuing operations in the affected areas. However, heavy debris, fuel shortages, and limited rescue equipment have prevented emergency workers from reaching many locations, raising concerns that more bodies remain trapped under the rubble.<\/p>\n
According to the Gaza Civil Defense Service, rescue personnel are operating under extremely difficult conditions. Prolonged power outages, shortages of medical supplies, and limited ambulance services have further hampered efforts to provide timely medical treatment to the injured.<\/p>\n
The Israeli military said its operations are targeting Hamas military infrastructure, weapons depots, and fighters, alleging that Hamas operates from within urban areas, which it says affects the civilian population.<\/p>\n
The United Nations and international humanitarian organizations have expressed grave concern over the worsening humanitarian situation in Gaza City and across the Gaza Strip. They warned of severe shortages of food, clean drinking water, medicines, and medical services, while thousands of displaced families continue to live in overcrowded temporary shelters.<\/p>\n
International organizations have once again called for an immediate ceasefire, the protection of civilians, and uninterrupted humanitarian access, warning that continued fighting and restrictions could further deepen the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.<\/p>\n
