Lahore (HRNW)-\u00a0Police have registered a case in connection with the tragic roof collapse at a tuition centre in Kahna, which claimed the lives of 14 children and left several others injured. Authorities have also begun questioning five individuals taken into custody as part of the investigation.<\/p>\n
According to police, the case was registered on the complaint of Enforcement Inspector Kashif Aslam of the Nishtar Zone. The First Information Report (FIR) cites alleged negligence and carelessness as the primary causes of the tragedy.<\/p>\n
The FIR states that the tuition centre was operating beneath a weak and deteriorated roof, while repair work was reportedly underway at the same time. It further alleges that the weight of construction materials and repair equipment contributed to the sudden collapse of the roof.<\/p>\n
As a result of the incident, 14 children lost their lives after being trapped under the debris.<\/p>\n
Police said that five children and a female teacher were also injured and were immediately shifted to hospital, where they continue to receive medical treatment.<\/p>\n
Investigators are questioning the five detained individuals from multiple angles to determine responsibility for the incident.<\/p>\n
Officials said that once the investigation is completed, strict legal action will be taken against those found responsible in accordance with the law.<\/p>\n
