Karachi (HRNW)-\u00a0<\/strong>The Sindh High Court<\/strong> heard proceedings in connection with the escape of a female suspect in a house theft case registered in the Gulberg<\/strong> area of Karachi.<\/p>\n

Pursuant to the court’s orders, Senior Superintendent of Women Jail, Humaira Qayyum<\/strong>, appeared before the bench and submitted her report on the incident.<\/p>\n

The Women Jail Superintendent informed the court that the accused, Ramzana<\/strong>, did not escape from the women’s prison. Instead, she allegedly escaped while in the custody of the Court Police<\/strong> after being brought to court for a scheduled hearing.<\/p>\n

She further stated that the suspect had reportedly managed to flee with the alleged connivance of security personnel. According to the official, departmental proceedings have already been initiated against the officials suspected of involvement in the incident.<\/p>\n

During the hearing, the complainant informed the court that she had been facing difficulties due to the alleged unprofessional conduct of police officials.<\/p>\n

After hearing the parties, the Sindh High Court dismissed the bail application of the accused, Ramzana.<\/p>\n

The court also directed the concerned Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP)<\/strong> to ensure that complainants are treated professionally and respectfully by police officials during the course of the investigation and related proceedings.<\/p>\n
