Tehran (HRNW)-\u00a0Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghai has said that progress was made during recent talks with the United States in Switzerland regarding the easing of restrictions on Iranian oil exports and other economic issues.<\/p>\n
Speaking to Iran\u2019s official news agency IRNA, Baghai stated that the negotiations between the two sides continued for approximately 18 hours and covered several important topics.<\/p>\n
According to the spokesman, detailed discussions were held on the sale of Iranian oil, the issuance of the necessary licenses for oil exports, and the status of Iran\u2019s frozen assets held abroad.<\/p>\n
Baghai said that Iran emphasized the importance of ensuring that all commitments made during the negotiations are fully implemented by the other side.<\/p>\n
He further clarified that no formal negotiations have yet begun regarding Iran\u2019s nuclear program and claimed that reports suggesting otherwise are inaccurate.<\/p>\n
The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman added that for the talks to succeed, a strategy must be adopted that ensures all parties remain committed to their obligations and responsibilities throughout the negotiation process.<\/p>\n
The remarks come amid ongoing diplomatic efforts between Tehran and Washington aimed at addressing long-standing economic and political issues and reducing tensions in the region.<\/p>\n
