Islamabad (HRNW)-\u00a0Registration for Hajj 2027 has been formally launched, with details of both government and private Hajj schemes announced by the Ministry of Religious Affairs.<\/p>\n
Addressing the Hajj 2027 Registration Launch Ceremony and speaking to the media, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf said that the Hajj system has been digitized with the support of the National IT Board. He stated that registration for Hajj 2027 has officially commenced and that steps are being taken to make the Hajj process more transparent and efficient for pilgrims.<\/p>\n
The minister announced that registration for Hajj 2027 will be completely free of charge and will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis. He emphasized that registration is mandatory for applicants under both government and private Hajj schemes, and no individual will be eligible to apply without completing the registration process.<\/p>\n
Sardar Muhammad Yousaf said that intending pilgrims must possess a valid passport with an expiry date extending at least until November 26, 2027. He added that members of the same family can register together, while overseas Pakistanis can complete their registration from anywhere in the world.<\/p>\n
According to the minister, registration can be completed through designated banks across the country or through the online registration system from home.<\/p>\n
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has also issued the official registration schedule, making it clear that applicants will only be able to select a government or private Hajj scheme after completing the registration process.<\/p>\n
Speaking about Hajj 2026, the minister described it as one of the most successful Hajj operations in Pakistan\u2019s history. He said Pakistani pilgrims expressed high levels of satisfaction with the arrangements and that all directives issued by the Prime Minister were fully implemented. He also acknowledged the cooperation of Saudi authorities and the Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan.<\/p>\n
Sardar Muhammad Yousaf said that the Road to Makkah initiative was expanded to Lahore, benefiting around 80 percent of Pakistani pilgrims. He added that less than one percent of pilgrims submitted complaints, reflecting confidence in the arrangements.<\/p>\n
The minister further stated that the ministry is assessing refunds for pilgrims who performed Hajj in 2026, noting that a portion of the remaining funds is traditionally returned to pilgrims each year.<\/p>\n
He also revealed that Pakistan\u2019s Muslim population has surpassed 230 million and that discussions are underway with Saudi Arabia to increase Pakistan\u2019s Hajj quota. According to the minister, Pakistan should now be allocated a quota of at least 230,000 pilgrims.<\/p>\n
