Islamabad (HRNW):<\/strong> Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that following an improving regional economic situation and peace efforts, the government is providing immediate relief to the public in fuel prices.<\/p>\n

According to the Prime Minister, petrol prices have been reduced by Rs 74 per litre<\/strong>, while diesel prices have been cut by Rs 67 per litre<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

He stated that after this reduction, the new petrol price has decreased from Rs 373 to Rs 299 per litre<\/strong>, while diesel has fallen from Rs 378 to Rs 311 per litre<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Prime Minister said the government has fulfilled its promise to the people despite difficult conditions, and the relief is being directly passed on to the public.<\/p>\n

He added that during global inflation and the oil crisis, the government utilized Rs 129 billion<\/strong> from its own resources to support citizens.<\/p>\n

He further said that unlike some countries where fuel rationing measures were introduced, Pakistan did not face fuel shortages or long queues at petrol stations.<\/p>\n

The Prime Minister also stated that better coordination between the federal and provincial governments helped stabilize the national economy.<\/p>\n

He claimed that Pakistan\u2019s mediation efforts during tensions in the Middle East helped pave the way for regional peace, and a significant memorandum of understanding signed in Islamabad marked a historic development.<\/p>\n

He praised Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, and the economic and administrative team for their roles.<\/p>\n

The Prime Minister concluded that the government\u2019s top priority is to provide maximum relief to the public and reduce inflation.<\/p>\n
