Karachi (HRNW):<\/strong> The Government of Sindh has decided to release billions of rupees for education reforms and the rehabilitation of schools across the province.<\/p>\n

According to the Sindh Finance Department, a total of over Rs 1.778 billion<\/strong> has been approved for the School Education Department.<\/p>\n

Officials stated that under the European Union\u2013funded education project DEEP<\/strong>, more than Rs 1.13 billion<\/strong> has been released for the second quarter.<\/p>\n

Similarly, under the World Bank-funded education program ASPIRE<\/strong>, over Rs 646.1 million<\/strong> has been released for the third quarter.<\/p>\n

The finance department said that a major portion of the released funds will be utilized for the reconstruction of flood-affected schools and improvement of the education system.<\/p>\n

Strict instructions have been issued to the School Education Department to ensure transparent utilization of funds, prevent duplication of expenditures, and maintain strong monitoring mechanisms.<\/p>\n

The department has also been directed that further disbursement of funds will be subject to the submission of utilization reports for the previously released amounts.<\/p>\n
