Karachi (HRNW)-<\/strong> Artificial Intelligence (AI) has laid the foundation for a new intellectual and creative revolution worldwide, and the world has witnessed remarkable developments in this field over the past decade, said Professor Dr. Khalid Khan on Saturday.
\nHe was speaking at the seminar titled \u201cBeyond Books: The Evolution of Writers, Researchers and Media,\u201d organized by the Society for Promotion of Reading and Improvement of Libraries (SPRIL) in collaboration with KIET North Campus.
\nThe seminar highlighted the interconnection between knowledge, research, reading, books and modern technology, bringing together academics, librarians, media professionals and students.
\nAddressing the audience, Professor Dr. Khalid Khan said that books and sources of knowledge are constantly evolving. \u201cToday\u2019s writers must embrace artificial intelligence and digital platforms while keeping future needs in mind,\u201d he said. He added that scholars\u2019 ideas and research can be effectively transmitted to younger generations through social media and AI, helping preserve and promote intellectual capital.
\nAmjad Hussain Shah, General Manager of Pakistan Television (PTV), said that the pen and the book would always remain the foundation of knowledge and civilization. He emphasized the need to convert digital content into book form so that future generations can benefit from contemporary ideas, experiences and emotions.
\n\u201cThe pursuit of knowledge never ends. Those who continue learning achieve progress, while those who spread knowledge are the true architects of society,\u201d he remarked.
\nSPRIL founding member Rabiya Ali Faridi recalled that the society\u2019s journey began at KIET North Campus last year and pledged to continue its mission with dedication and commitment.
\n\u201cI am delighted that KIET North Campus is adopting effective strategies to promote library sciences and strengthen a culture of scholarship and reading,\u201d she said. \u201cThrough SPRIL, valuable services are being provided to encourage reading and improve libraries.\u201d
\nJawahar Aleem, Librarian at KIET North Campus, described Library and Information Science as a broad, important and evolving field that provides effective access to knowledge, research and information.
\n\u201cThis field plays a vital role in promoting reading, improving the management of academic resources, and strengthening educational and research culture within society,\u201d she said.
\nOther speakers, including Sajida Parveen, Rashid Ali and Salman Sarwat, also highlighted the importance of reading, research, creative writing and modern media.
\nThe seminar concluded with Professor Dr. Khalid Khan presenting shields to the chief guest and distinguished speakers, while Jawahar Aleem delivered the vote of thanks on the behalf of President SPRIL Ikram Ul Haq.<\/p>\n
