Karachi (HRNW):<\/b> Former Federal Minister and Central Spokesperson of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Shazia Marri, while addressing the media in Karachi, highlighted that the Rana Liaquat Crafts Centre (RLCC) was originally founded by Begum Rana Liaquat Ali Khan for the welfare of women. Today, the organization has evolved into a full-fledged, impactful institution.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the venue, Marri announced the inauguration of a state-of-the-art Crafts Centre aimed at imparting various vocational and technical skills to women. Currently, over 250 women are working and undergoing skill development training at the facility. She emphasized that the Government of Sindh, alongside the Social Welfare Department, continues to extend complete financial and administrative cooperation to support the institution.<\/p>\n

Shifting focus to the political landscape, Shazia Marri stated that the PPP has historically endured relentless political onslaughts but remains resilient. She credited President Asif Ali Zardari with granting Gilgit-Baltistan the administrative and constitutional identity that perfectly aligned with the long-standing demands of its public.<\/p>\n

Taking a swipe at political opponents, she remarked that those relying solely on digital narratives across Facebook, WhatsApp, and YouTube have faced a humiliating defeat. Elections, she noted, are won through structured socio-economic programs and public manifestos rather than witty online remarks or social media gimmicks.<\/p>\n

Marri added that while Gilgit-Baltistan is inherently a resource-rich region, its residents have long suffered from a severe lack of employment opportunities. She asserted that the people of Gilgit-Baltistan have now reposed absolute democratic trust in the young leadership of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to address their grievances.<\/p>\n
