Gilgit (HRNW) \u2013 Unofficial and unconfirmed results from the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly elections continue to emerge, with the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) taking the lead by securing victory on nine seats out of the 19 constituencies for which results have so far been announced.<\/p>\n
According to unofficial results, independent candidates have won six seats, while Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has secured three seats and Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) has won one seat.<\/p>\n
In GBA-1 Gilgit-I, PPP candidate Amjad Hussain won with 10,594 votes, while PML-N candidate Muhammad Shafiquddin secured 6,312 votes.<\/p>\n
In GBA-2, results from several polling stations indicate that PML-N leader Hafiz Hafeez-ur-Rehman is leading, followed by PPP candidate Jamil Ahmed, while Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party candidate Fatehullah Khan remains in third place.<\/p>\n
According to unofficial results from all 82 polling stations in GBA-3 Gilgit-III, independent candidate Syed Sohail Abbas won with 7,877 votes, while PPP\u2019s Aftab Haider Advocate secured 7,361 votes.<\/p>\n
In GBA-4 Nagar-I, PPP candidate Muhammad Ali Akhtar emerged victorious with 7,654 votes, defeating PTI-backed candidate Muhammad Ayub Waziri, who received 6,597 votes.<\/p>\n
Unofficial results from GBA-5 Nagar-II show PPP candidate Zulfiqar Ali Murad winning with 2,705 votes, while MWM candidate Riaz Akbar finished second with 2,584 votes.<\/p>\n
In GBA-6 Hunza, independent candidate Neknam Karim was declared successful with 6,360 votes, while PPP candidate Imtiaz-ul-Haq secured second position.<\/p>\n
A notable contest took place in GBA-7 Skardu-I, where PPP candidate Syed Tauqeer Mehdi, son of the current Governor of Gilgit-Baltistan, won with 4,295 votes. Former Governor Raja Jalal finished second with 3,849 votes, while PML-N candidate Haji Akbar Taban secured 2,667 votes.<\/p>\n
The election results indicate a strong performance by PPP across several constituencies, while independent candidates have also demonstrated significant electoral strength. Official results are expected after the completion of the counting process in all 24 constituencies.<\/p>\n
