Shan State (HRNW)- At least 55 people, including 25 women, were killed and dozens injured in a powerful explosion in Myanmar\u2019s Shan State, according to foreign media reports and local sources.<\/p>\n
The explosion occurred in the Kyauk Taw area, where separatist groups said materials stored for use in mining activities detonated unexpectedly, causing widespread destruction.<\/p>\n
The Ta\u2019ang National Liberation Army (TNLA), which is engaged in conflict with Myanmar\u2019s military government, said in a statement that the blast was an accident that resulted in multiple deaths and injuries, while also causing significant damage to nearby civilian homes.<\/p>\n
The group expressed condolences to the families of those killed and wished a speedy recovery to the injured. It also announced that an investigation had been launched to determine the exact cause of the explosion and identify those responsible.<\/p>\n
