Beijing (HRNW)- Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held important meetings with leading Chinese business delegations during his visit to China, where discussions focused on increasing investment in Pakistan and expanding economic cooperation under the second phase of CPEC.<\/p>\n
During the meetings in Beijing, the Prime Minister and Chinese companies reiterated their commitment to further strengthen cooperation in economic, industrial and infrastructure sectors. Federal ministers and senior government officials also attended the meetings and were directed to ensure timely and effective implementation of the decisions made.<\/p>\n
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met a delegation of FAMSUN led by CEO Zheng Junchen and appreciated the company\u2019s long-standing contribution to Pakistan\u2019s agriculture sector, particularly in grain storage, feed production and food security.<\/p>\n
The Prime Minister termed reduction of post-harvest losses a key government priority and invited FAMSUN to establish manufacturing and technology transfer facilities in Pakistan by benefiting from incentives offered under the Special Economic Zones and Green Pakistan Initiative.<\/p>\n
Shahbaz Sharif also met Shandong Xinshu Group Corporation Chairman Hao Jianshin and his delegation, welcoming the group\u2019s growing investment in maritime development, battery manufacturing, mineral processing and industrial cooperation projects in Pakistan.<\/p>\n
He appreciated Xinshu Group\u2019s role in the Xinshu Special Economic Zone, Sea to Steel Project at Port Qasim, Gwadar and northern mineral sector projects. The Prime Minister assured full government support for these strategic initiatives and stressed their speedy implementation under CPEC Phase-II.<\/p>\n
In another meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met China Communications Construction Company Chairman Zhang Bingnan and senior representatives of China Road and Bridge Corporation. He praised the role of these companies in Pakistan\u2019s infrastructure development over the past six decades, especially in projects like the Karakoram Highway and Rashakai Special Economic Zone.<\/p>\n
The Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan\u2019s commitment to accelerate progress on ML-1, the realignment of the Karakoram Highway and other connectivity projects under CPEC, stating that Pakistan considers CCCC and CRBC as long-term strategic partners in infrastructure modernization and regional connectivity.<\/p>\n
Chinese companies participating in the meetings expressed strong confidence in Pakistan\u2019s economic potential and showed keen interest in increasing investment in agriculture, industrial production, logistics, infrastructure and technology sectors.<\/p>\n
