Islamabad (HRNW)- Russia has once again announced its support for Pakistan\u2019s mediation role in the ongoing tensions between Iran and the United States.<\/p>\n
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Russian Ambassador to Pakistan Albert Khorev said that Russia views Pakistan\u2019s diplomatic efforts for a peaceful resolution of the conflict between the United States and Iran positively.<\/p>\n
The Russian ambassador said that Moscow will support all such measures that help resolve the concerns of both Washington and Tehran and reduce tensions in the region.<\/p>\n
He stressed that Russia wants peace and stability in the region and prefers resolving issues through dialogue.<\/p>\n
During the press conference, the Russian ambassador also reacted to reports in the Pakistani media regarding alleged recruitments by Russia in Pakistan. He said these reports could not be confirmed as there were contradictions in media coverage. According to him, the person mentioned in the recruitment claims had not even applied for a visa at the Russian embassy.<\/p>\n
The ambassador added that relevant Pakistani agencies are investigating the matter and the facts are expected to emerge soon.<\/p>\n
He also spoke about the Ukraine war, saying that Pakistani media often highlights Ukraine\u2019s losses while Russian losses are less reported.<\/p>\n
Albert Khorev said Russia will achieve its objectives in the Ukraine conflict and remains prepared for any situation.<\/p>\n
